As Network Engineer you will be a key element of Foundation Services, strong of his 40 collaborators based on 3 countries, supporting the infrastructures: Network, Storage, Backup, Virtualization & IT Room Facilities.
You will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, supporting and operating Network infrastructure within the European Parliament.
- Ensure the integrity of high availability Network infrastructure to provide maximum performance for the users.
- Troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, and identify Network related problems within the following domains: LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi
- Participate in team collaboration to share engineering efforts, technical challenges and breakthroughs
- Work with vendors and team members to troubleshoot issues related to the operations (Problem management)
Technical skills:
- Proven hands-on network engineering experience
- CCNP or higher
- Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
- Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
- Cisco ACI
- · Wireless, Cloud & Loadbalancers experience will be a must
- Profile:
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in Networking technologies
- Acts as a subject matter expert and expertly articulates solutions through written or verbal methods
- In-depth demonstrable skills in system and functional analysis and problem diagnostic, capability of producing high quality specification and documentation
- Demonstrated ability for effective communication (oral and written) to all levels of the organization
- French & English are mandatory
