Junior Network Engineer

As a Network Engineer you will be a key element of Foundation Services, strong of his 40 collaborators based in 3 countries, supporting the infrastructures: Network, Storage, Backup, Virtualization & IT Room Facilities.

You will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, supporting and operating Network infrastructure within the European Parliament.

  • Ensure the integrity of high-availability Network infrastructure to provide maximum performance for the users.
  • Troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis and identify Network related problems within the following domains: LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi
  •  Participate in team collaboration to share engineering efforts, technical challenges and breakthroughs
  • Work with vendors and team members to troubleshoot issues related to the operations (Problem management)

Profile:

  •  Minimum 1 year’ experience in Networking technologies
  •   Bachelor’s degree in the IT sector
  • Demonstrated ability for effective communication (oral and written) to all levels of the organization
  • French & English are mandatory
  • Resistance to stress

Technical skills:

  •  Proven hands-on network engineering experience
  •  CCNA or higher
  • Understanding of basics networking protocols (e.g, HSRP, BGP, QoS)
  •  Understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
  •  Wireless (Aruba) will be a must
